The Reference Manual — every chapter, appendix, and build guide on this site — is published under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 license (CC BY-NC 4.0). Plainly:
- You can read it, share it, and adapt it — print it for the bench, translate it, build on it.
- Give credit — attribute it to Jamey Warren / Makerphones with a link back here.
- Don’t sell it — no commercial use without permission. If you want to do something commercial with it, just ask.
Your builds are yours. Anything you make by following the manual — including things you sell — is not covered by this license; it only covers the written content itself.
Design files. The Daily Driver is genuinely open source — and unlike the manual, it carries no non-commercial restriction. The hardware source (CAD models, STLs, the headband DXF) is released under CERN-OHL-P-2.0, and its documentation — including the design spec — under CC BY-4.0. Download it, modify it, build it, and sell what you make. All I ask is credit to Jamey Warren / Makerphones.
